When Opportunity Knocks…

 ..Answer the door and invite it in!

Hello lovelies! I’m popping in quickly to say I had a wonderful time with two of my Besties last week in Sonoma County, CA. We ate great food, explored quaint towns like Healdsburg and Duncan Hills and did our best to support the U.S.A. economy (aka – SHOP Til You Drop!) We also enjoyed sleeping in, playing Skip Bo until the middle of the night and catching up on the craziness we call life. Normally, I would head back home and not plan anything major for awhile. You know, give myself a chance to catch up on the blog, housework, laundry… BUT opportunity knocked loud and fast. So, with less than two weeks to say yes, plan and pack, we are hopping on a boat and cruising the Rhine River!

I know… it’s crazy! Yes, a European river cruise was on my bucket list but I had no idea that all the stars would align and we would suddenly have this amazing opportunity… right now! My husband and I have not taken a vacation longer than 4 days, together, for almost six years. You know how it is; jobs, kids and family, health and finances all contributed to the ‘maybe next year’ mode. Then, all of a sudden, we found ourselves with an opening of time and a stranger’s misfortune of having to cancel their trip created a fantastic deal for us. I think I am still in shock…even as I get out my passport and pack my bags I’m thinking, “Are we really doing this?” The sunrise came at the perfect time and we were awake to catch it.

Soooo, obviously there will be no new projects on the blog for a bit
